Artsy Afternoon is available Monday through Friday from 10-6 and Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4 pm. Again please note that it typically takes 60-90 minutes to complete projects. 

Our artsy afternoon tables typically accommodate up to 4 people. If you expect to have more than 4 people at artsy afternoon, please register as a group through our "parties/groups" tab. 

No. Due to the nature of the room, we are unable to provide a space for refreshments or gifts. If you would like to book a group and include time to eat or open gifts, we ask that you register as a group through our "parties/groups" tab.  There is an additional $50 fee for an extra 30 minutes after project completion for food and gifts (due to staffing and additional clean up needed). 

Weekdays: During the week (Monday through Friday), reservations are not required however, we do ask that you give us a call if your party is larger than 4 people. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, andThursdays are the best days to enjoy paint-your-own pottery from 10-6 pm. 

Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays: We typically recommend a reservation on for the weekend as we can sometimes get an unexpectedly busy day.

Sort of.  We offer a variety of projects to choose from.

Some of the projects like the canvas painting, glass painting, and candle painting, you can happily make whatever design you choose as you paint.  We also offer pre-made designs to choose from.

Paint your own Pottery is pre-made clay pieces that you are choosing from to paint.

Clay projects are not available at this time.

Artsy afternoon projects range from $22 - $40 per project. There is a project cost as well as a $10 per project studio fee if completing it here.  Some projects are available to take home and complete with your own supplies.

Projects take around 90 minutes to complete. Detailed painters may take longer to complete projects. 

Paint-your-own pottery projects take approximately two weeks to get back to you. A form will be at your table to fill in all of your contact information. We will give you a call or text when they are ready! Hand-built clay projects, larger projects, and larger artsy afternoon group projects may take longer to get back to you due to our limited kiln space. Trained service animals are welcome at Engage. Emotional support animals are not welcome. Please be aware that Engage does have cats in the studio who are not familiar with dogs. Please also note that young students may be distracted by service animals. Engage staff will try our best to ensure a safe space for your service animal.

Four classes are in each month/session. Some months are shorter due to holidays. You will be notified about any month with less than four classes and will be pro-rated accordingly. Please see our class calendar tab to see when new sessions start and end. 

Your confirmation email will let you know your first date of class. Please see our class calendar tab to see when your session starts and ends, and to see any dates the studio is closed for holidays.

Engage will work with any assistance programs for class sessions and don't mind waiting to get the check for class. Engage requires proof of application submission for assistance and proof of payment coming before enrolling in classes. 

For most kids classes, yes! A trial class is $30 per student. Only one trial class per student. *Due to the nature of our ceramics classes, we can not offer trial classes for our ceramics classes. 

To keep our students safe, parents are strictly prohibited from consuming alcohol and other mind altering substances during classes. 

Class Cancelations/Refunds/Pro-Rations (Beginning September 19, 2024):

• Pro-Rations: One pro-ration per session will be available to students who notify register@engagearts.com prior to purchasing their space in class. Pro-rations do not roll over if more than one class is missed during a given session.
• Make-Up Options: In the event that your student will miss more than one class or unexpectedly miss class,  you may attend a similar class to the one missed within the same month OR receive a credit for a paint your own pottery (up to $30 value). Paint your own Pottery is offered Monday through Friday 12-7 and Saturday and Sunday from 11-5 in the gallery. Parents are required to stay with their student to paint.  Please plan accordingly, projects take about an hour.  In the event you require a make-up class, please email register@engagearts.com to let us know which class you will be attending or if you will do paint your own pottery so we can send a credit number to give upon checkout.  If your class has an alternative time slot, easy enough, just come to two classes one week using the alternative time for your make up, even if it's a different age range (advanced class times excluded).  Animal Drawing and Drawing and Painting and Art Jumble can be substituted for each other. Handbuilding Ceramics having no other similar class may come early the next week to make up a project. All make-ups must be completed within one month of the missed class day. If choosing paint-your-own pottery as a make-up, and you have more than one make-up to do, you may bring a friend or family member to complete the make-ups all at once. Make-up classes  can only be used by the student who was originally registered for the class. No exceptions.
• Refunds/Cancelations: A full refund will be awarded if the student cancels one week (7 days) prior to their start date. Cancelations after the week prior are studio credit only.  To receive studio credit, a cancelation request must be submitted prior to the first class of the registered session. All cancelations must be emailed to register@engagearts.com and received prior to the first day of your class session. Cancelation refunds will only be awarded if emailed to the above email address. Cancelations on the day of the first class or later will forfeit any studio credit/refund/class transference. There are no refunds or make-ups for no-shows. If Engage cancels class due to weather, a credit will be refunded to you either in the form of a make-up class or a credit to the studio depending on if you will be continuing class with us or not.

Behavior & Destruction of Property Policy

If your child displays violence or excessive disrespect towards staff and/or students and is creating an unsafe environment for themselves or others, they may be asked to leave the studio. Bullying is considered an unsafe behavior at Engage and repeated offenses will not be tolerated. Students who are unable to abide by these rules may be asked to leave the studio. Intentional and malicious destruction of the studio and/or other's property will also result in your child being removed from the studio. All damage/repair costs are the responsibility of a parent/guardian.

Payment for the session of class will not be refunded. 

* By purchasing a space in class, you agree to all terms, conditions, and policies regarding your child's enrollment in class. *

After your confirmation email is received, payment will be due. If you decide to continue classes into the next month, then the student becomes a "recurring student". Payment for recurring students is due by the 20th of each month in order to ensure that their space in class is reserved for the upcoming month (ex. Payment due on Feb 20th secures your child's space for March classes). An email will be sent on the 15th of each month as a reminder that payment is due for the upcoming month if your student will be continuing class.

No. We ensure each student never repeats a project.

We offer a small seating area for a few parents to sit. If our waiting room is full, shop our Gallery, head to Moccias for a bite, enjoy Foy Park, or walk the Perkiomen Trail! Parents are not allowed in the classroom once instruction has begun unless the child requires an accommodation previously discussed with Engage. We ask that if siblings are present, parents ensure they clean up any toys and keep volume to a minimum, as the sound carries from the waiting room. 

For the safety of our students, parents are strictly prohibited from consuming alcholic beverages/mind altering substances at Engage. 

Since we have a rolling enrollment, we do not always know when space will become available in a waitlisted class. We will try our best to get you off the waitlist for the upcoming month. An email confirmation will be sent around the third week of the month if space becomes available!

At this time, we do not offer private lessons.
